Welcome! I'm delighted to connect with you.

I'm Kristen Lans, and I specialize in creating impactful team experiences designed to foster problem-solving, effectiveness, and connection among remote team members.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Throughout my career, I’ve worked side-by-side with scientists, technologists, academics, and leaders to provide people and organizational development solutions to address some of the world’s most complex problems.

Some of the renowned institutions I have worked at include the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA and Portland State University’s Graduate School of Education.

Most recently, I had the privilege of serving as the Director of Global Learning and Development at the Wikimedia Foundation, where I also took on roles as an Agile Coach and Director of Team Practices. These roles have equipped me with a deep understanding of team dynamics and the skills necessary to coach and support diverse, high-performing teams.

I enjoy getting to the root of the people dynamics at the heart of business challenges. Recent consulting clients include an ultra high net worth family office, a Fortune 50 company, a free speech nonprofit, and a community bank.

Academic and Professional Credentials

I hold an MA degree in Leadership in Ecology, Culture, and Learning from Portland State University. My academic journey has provided me with a holistic understanding of leadership and its impact on organizational culture and learning.

In addition, I have completed 200+ International Coaching Federation Training Hours in specialized coaching methodologies, including Presence-Based Coaching, Growth Edge Coaching, the Art of Developmental Coaching, and Positive Intelligence Coaching. I am also a certified Leadership Circle Practitioner. These certifications reflect my commitment to continuous learning and my ability to apply diverse coaching techniques to support individual and team growth.
